Why do I write?   For the fun of it.
Submitting a piece for publication is NOT fun, and is not my living.
But writing a piece for fun is a life!
Then subjecting what I write to the whims and arrows of my writing group? That’s fun too.
And rewriting to make  my work as good as I can? That is a goal..

But the heart of writing is communication.   A party to create the work, and a party to read it.
